Wondering me #1: “Why Iced Americano?”
Started with my friends and me talking about K-Dramas where the female lead likes Iced Americano so much, all of us questioning why Iced Americano always appears in most K-Dramas and why it is also very famous in South Korea?
Mostly, K-Pop fans are familiar with Iced Americano because a lot of idols drink Iced Americano every day. Usually, they are always seen holding a cup of Iced Americano before they start their schedule. Idols and their Iced Americano are regular views for the K-Pop fans, that they might drink and like Iced Americano as well.
“Americano” is the most ordered menu in South Korean cafes. So I am wondering why.
Since it is espresso and water, the taste is not too bitter so, more people can enjoy it. In addition, Iced Americano is cheaper than other menus. Thus, it could be an alternative when you need coffee but do not want to spend too much. But not only that, I think Iced Americano is refreshing especially when you drink in a hot summer.
So, those are my assumption why Iced Americano is a superstar coffee in South Korea. How about you?
